The National Water Supply and Drainage Board of Sri Lanka (NWSDB) is the main body responsible for investigation, planning, design and construction supervision of water supply and sewerage projects with local funds and donor assistance. The products used in these projects undergo stringent quality control processes since most of the materials are in contact with water intended for human consumption.
R-KEX-II Pure Epoxy is a bonded anchor offered by Rawlplug to bond rebars or threaded rods to concrete. R-KEX-II successfully passed the vigorous approval process of NWSDB since it possesses European Technical Assessment permitting its usage with both cracked and non-cracked concrete in seismic load conditions. Additionally, R-KEX-II has a certificate from Poland National Institute of Public Health to confirm its hygiene. After performing an on-site pull-out test, R-KEX-II was approved for use in NWSDB’s projects. R-KEX-II is currently being used in the Kelani Right Bank Water Supply Project – Stage II and in the Greater Matale Water Supply Project both of which are under the purview of the NWSDB.
